Terms & Conditions of Use

All Members’ Forum users are deemed to abide by these terms and conditions.

The Society reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time and continued use of the message boards will indicate your acceptance of the current terms and conditions.

What it is

MEMBERS’ FORUM is a secure and confidential message board facility for current student and registered members, directors, employees and consultants of The Society. If you cease to be in one of those categories you will no longer have access to have the MEMBERS’ FORUM

Guidelines for MEMBERS’ FORUM users

Please do not post the same message in more than one topic.

Messages should be drafted with care. They are a permanent form of written communication and material can be recovered from a computer even when it has been deleted. Messages like any other document, are legally admissible in court.

Be kind and polite in your posting. Avoid being overbearing, narrow-minded, or biased, with a conviction that your opinion is the only valid one. Avoid personal attacks on anyone who differs or disagrees with your stand, on a particular issue.

You must not use MEMBERS’ FORUM to access, produce, obtain, download, store, share or distribute material which is illegal under UK law or can reasonably be judged to be harmful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, libellous, racially or ethnically objectionable, offensive, obscene, indecent or abusive.

You must not use MEMBERS’ FORUM to place messages which discriminate or encourage discrimination on the grounds of age, disability, gender, nationality, race, religion or sexual orientation.

Please be aware that under copyright laws, it is prohibited to ‘cut and paste’ whole press articles into an message or to attach them to an message. Simply give the address of the relevant website, where the reader may look at the original article in full. As The Society may be liable for any breaches of copyright laws we reserve the right to remove any postings.

Advertisements for financial gain are not allowed on MEMBERS’ FORUM.

Security

It is a criminal offence to knowingly introduce any virus, worm, Trojan horse or other harmful or nuisance program or file into a computer system. Any accidental introduction of a virus or harmful program must be reported to the Forum Administrator immediately.

The Forum Administrator has the right to edit, censor, delete or otherwise modify any posted message.

This Web site does not verify or guarantee the accuracy of the material posted to the forum or bear any responsibility for any loss, damage, or other liabilities caused by any posted message.
